Paint Book

These three pictures are taken from the Lewis Carroll Memorial Window in All Saints Church, Daresbury. The window was designed in 1932 to remember Charles Lutwidge Dodgson’s /Lewis Carroll’s birth, 100 years earlier. People from all over the world sent donations to pay for it and two years later, it was put into the Daniell Chapel. All the characters come from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. He also wrote the Christmas message.

INSTRUCTIONS

Click on a window to enlarge it, then go to the palette and click on a colour to load your brush. Use the ‘zoom’ to make the picture bigger or smaller.

Click and drag your brush on the pane of glass you want to paint.

(To make a spot, click without dragging.)

If you choose the ‘magic brush’, you won’t spill colour over the edges!

Try out the paint pot and the tap.

Don’t forget to save or print your finished ‘stained glass’ window.

(You could even print it in black and white and use coloured pencils.)
